Our premium tops are made with care by our wonderful manufacturers in the UK. After consulation with the derby community we have included a number of design features

  • We have tested a wide range of fabrics so that we have a fabric that stands up to velcro, is stretchy enough to allow comfort (and a good whip) while being sturdy enough to maintain its shape.
  • After feedback on the fit of lots of general work out tops, we decided to add side panels to our pattern rather than allowing the stretch of fabric do the work to make tops fit. Side panels allow the tops to sit better on the body, allowing more comfort around the underarms and neck. This also works to minimise scrunching around the hips and chest.
  • We have designed our premium tops to have a higher hem at the back than at the front to take account of those powerful derby glutes (a design feature that we are affectionately calling our 'butt scoop'). The butt scoop works to help the top lay flat on the back, which increases comfort as well making numbers easier to read (we like to keep our officials happy).
  • We know that all bodies are different, for this reason, our premium tops are available in four lengths (short, standard, long and extra long) as well as three different fits.
    • Standard
    • Curvy
    • Muscle
  • We want our uniforms to last. So not only have we chosen a fabric that is resistant to greying. We have done a lot of research into the strength and stretchiness of our seams. We are using flatlock machines for strong, flexible and comfortable seams.

Our premium tops are all available in both t-shirt and vest styles. They are fully size inclusive and if the options we have dont quite work for you, we have a custom fit service.

  • Use cold/cool water for washing.  Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners,. While we have done our best to pick fabric that resists greying over time, we recommend separating out light colours when washing. Air-dry twhenever possible. If you need to use a dryer, use a low heat setting. Polyester fabric is sensitive to high heat, so if you must iron your uniform use a low temperature setting or place a cloth between your iron and top (but who irons sportswear anyway).
